SplatterPark Tournament Rules (3 Man Jam)
- Roster cap: 5 players per team (entry cost does not change). Each team that signs up and pays their tournament entry fee, will get admission for up to 5 of their selected tournament players, and 3 cases of paint for the team to share. More paintballs can be purchased on-site, and will be $60+tax for each case. Remember, SplatterPark is a field paint only facility. Only paint purchased at SplatterPark is permitted on the field
- Player skill classification: Each team will be allowed 1 D4 and 1 D5 OR 2 D5 APPA classified players that are classified as that at the time of the event. Other players must have no APPA rank or be considered beginner/D6 on the APPA classification system. Any team found to break these rules will immediately be disqualified without refund.
- Safety Masks must be worn by all players and spectators on the field at all times, no exceptions.
- Barrel covers must be on until you are on the field.
- Every player will be required to chronograph before each game (285 FPS Limit). If you chronograph above the 285 FPS limit, you will be required to change it and chronograph again until you are at the correct settings. Random chronograph checks may be performed during play and a "hot" chrono (3 consistent shots over 285 FPS) will result in the responsible player along with 1 teammate being eliminated.
- Ramping is permitted with a 10.5 BPS limit. Anyone caught shooting higher than 10.5 will be penalized by having to sit out 1 game and your team will start with 2 players. If you are caught using any other firing mode besides ramp or semi, you will be penalized in the same manner. If it happens twice, you will be ejected without a refund.
- No physical contact with other players will be tolerated. Anyone involved in physical aggressive activity will be ejected without refund.
- There will be four referees on the field. Obey all instructions given by referees. If you have a problem on the field, yell or signal a referee to assist you. Referee decisions are final.
- Good sportsmanship is expected of ALL players. No profanity, harassment or cheating. Drugs and alcohol are not permitted on the premises. Players arriving and/or playing under the influence will not be allowed to participate. Players caught partaking in these acts will be ejected without refund.
- Successfully capturing the enemy team's flag and returning to your start box will grant your team two points. Flags will be located on the start base of each team, reach your enemy team's start base to pull their flag and return to your start box. In the event of a draw or clock expires, each team will receive one point.
- TIE BREAKER: Teams with the same amount of points at the end of preliminary play will be classified as the better team by the amount of time to win. For example: If team A has 12 points and team B has 12 points, but team B won all their games with a time of 6:00 minutes and team A won in 7:00 minutes, then team B will move on to the playoffs .
- The top 4 to 6 teams (top 4 for under 12 teams and top 6 for 12 teams or more) at the end of the preliminary matches will play in a tournament style bracket that will be best of 3 games. First place will receive the title of CHAMPION and will be granted the Champion Ring and a 1st Place trophy. 2nd and 3rd placed teams will be given trophies as well.
- Each team will play 8 to 10 preliminary games. Games will last for 3 minutes maximum, with a 3 minute clean and prep period in between. IF YOU ARE NOT ON THE START BOX BY THE START TIME, YOU WILL NOT PLAY!
- Penalties will only exist for what is considered an obvious hit with intentional wiping/playing on. This will result in a major penalty in which 2 additional players are pulled. If there are not enough players to pull (3 alive players) then the team will start down the corresponding amount of players next game. Unintentional playing on (such as a hopper hit) will result in the player being called out but no penalty assessed.
REMEMBER, this event is solely for FUN. Everyone is out here to have a good time, please do not ruin the day for everyone. Follow the rules, be safe, and HAVE FUN!
